The EUGL CSS team are proud to announce the arrival of the "Oh So Nostalgic" EGS Cup!

Due to the overwhelming success of the Pistol Paradise cup, we couldn't help but keep the ball rolling.

What You Need to Know:

• 2 Nights
• 32 Teams
• 5v5 Format
• A minimum of 3 players are required for the game to go ahead
• CGS Rules (MR9, 16k Start Money, 1:20 Round Time)
• Game played on Home Team Server
• Teams must be on the server within 15minutes of the start time
• EUGL CSS Rules apply
• MR9 Config Required
• No Red Crossed Players
• Libra/XAC is MANDATORY - No Excuses

If you have to use XAC please post a link to your XAC profile in the "Info" part of your EUGL profile.

The cup will take place on Wednesday 13th January 2010 & Thursday 14th January 2010 . Rounds 1-3 will take place at 8pm,9pm and 10pm on the Wednesday with the Semi-Final and Final taking place at 8pm and 9pm on the Thursday.

In preparation for next week's cup we've decided to set up an IRC channel.

All problems regarding the cup will be dealt with on IRC, this should not only make managing the cup easier but also keep the site running smoothly.

The cup will take place on Monday 4th & 5th January 2010. Rounds 1-3 will take place at 8pm,9pm and 10pm on the Monday with the Semi-Final and Final taking place at 8pm and 9pm on the Tuesday.

It's been some time since I've written a news post, so I thought with the recent goings on, I'd take this opportunity to announce the new changes.

I'll start with the website, as you can see, we've just added an advertisement to the bottom right of the site, which will hopefully go towards funding events that we hold here at EUGL.
There is now a new feature on the forums, which allows you to see how many posts you've made. And a few bugs have been ironed out with profiles, such as the avatar upload bug.

Libra News:

This is coming along quite nicely and at a steady pace, It now officially supports the following games.

Counter-Strike 1.6
Counter-Strike: Source
Unreal Tournament 2004
Left 4 Dead

Apparently, it now also makes a really cool noise when you start a game, so that you know it's detected the game and is in working order.

I'm currently working on Libra (EUGLAC2), and it's going very well so far!

Libra is a native application (which means no more messing around with .NET frameworks), Libra also employs several new techniques to catch cheats.

This new Anti-Cheat will surpass what has been done before in other popular Anti-Cheats, and we hope that it will level the playing field for all EUGL users.
